Introduction
5th November 2009
Open source software and health information technology are a natural combination. Open Health Systems Laboratory (OHSL) seeks to bring together thought leaders and stakeholders together in several collaborative projects to help find and deploy open source resources for improving health outcomes worldwide.
Open Health Systems Laboratory (OHSL) is part of the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research and co-located partner institution of Johns Hopkins Montgomery County Campus working in close cooperation with caBIG (cancer Biomedical Informatics Grid) and other open source, standards based, interoperable system communities.
The idea has its origins in the private sector-academia consultation between Johns Hopkins University and [http://www.ctisinc.com] Capital Technology Information Services, Inc. for workforce development and continuing education for health information technology management and deployment.
This is a small step towards a capstone project for OHSL. You suggestions and criticism will help us shape this to serve the real need. We are hoping that others will join to contribute to this listing.
